The Jefferson Women’s Golf League (JWGL) had its beginning in the Spring of 1984 and soon thereafter, the League Logo, designed by Past President Kay Stinson, was adopted. Since its inception, the philosophy of the JWGL is to maintain a League that accommodates all skill levels and that allows all to enjoy the game of golf.

The League begins to play the first week in April and ends the last week in October.  Tee times are on Wednesdays generally between 7 am -10:30 am (with the possibility of tee times up to 11:10 if needed).  We are a handicap league and have a set event each week with winners in each of the 4 flights.  Membership dues are paid back to members at the Annual Luncheon based on attendance and win points earned during the season.  Social events, besides the Annual Luncheon, include the Spring Tea and mid-season BBQ.

How Do I Join?

Applications are accepted throughout the year with names placed on a Wait List.  Beginning in February, as new member positions are available, the League Membership Chair begins contacting Wait List applicants to invite them to join the league. The league generally accepts around 20 new members each year.  New members generally are no longer accepted after the end of Spring.
